CHEIF TYRONE L. DAVIS

Tyrone Davis started his career in the security field in 1995 in Gainesville Florida as an armed security guard patrolling the water treatment center, and then moved over to patrolling communities and business in and around the Hippodrome Theater detecting and deter criminal active.

In 1996 I moved to Atlanta Georgia to advance my career in the armed security field Working for security company called Interstate Protective Services(IPS) which held security contracts for nine of The Atlanta Housing Authority. duties consist of detecting and deter criminal actives, drug dealings, responding to calls for service.

conducting road blocks, visitor check-in 1998-2001 I was promoted to Lieutenant in charge of supervising 20 plus officers at the Capitol view Housing complex.

In 1999 I also started a career as a Bail Enforcement officer for Cagle Bonding duties were to investigate and locate subject who failed to appear for court. By conducting surveillance on friend and family members in order to rearrest and transport back to jail.

In 2000-2005 I started Davis Protective Division(DPS) out of Decatur GA, duties were to provide security services for several different apartment and strip store complexes for deter and detecting criminal activity. neighborhood was patrolled local law enforcement and DPS.

In 2005-2010 I continued my security career with Remote Surveillance and Technology’s Solutions(RSTS) working in different types of neighborhoods patrolled by foot or vehicle deter and detecting criminal activity. duties were to responded for calls for services from the residents in  the communities.

In 2006 I was promoted to Lieutenant in charge of supervising 20 plus officers and 8 different security contacts. I was able to enhance my knowledge of management and payroll, and community meeting with the residents, provide stronger leadership skills to officers under my direct supervision.

In 2007 I was promoted to field Inspector duties as assigned were to conduct and complete investigations on company violations/internal/ external violation. conduct random post inspections/ conduct surveillance on current and possible new client contacts.

2005-2008 started my career with Professional 50 state Protection as an officer. 2007  I was Promoted to  Captain Conduct field investigations, Initiate detention and execute arrests, Write daily reports as to day-to-day events. Supervise an Armed/Unarmed work force of up to 150+ individuals. Responsible for direction of the workforce for the shift, including authority to assign work, holdovers and authorize overtime Perform evaluations of assigned employees as it relates to performance, strengths, and weaknesses. Counsel/discipline employees related to performance/conduct issues, including authority to immediately suspend for serious violations and effectively recommend termination. Act as a liaison between, work force, Project Management Staff and Customer security management.

Provide on-the-job training and access training to new personnel.

Coordinate modifications of weekly schedules with the Project Management Office including leave requests and scheduling preferences.

Distribute, collect, and review bi-weekly time sheets.

Track uniforms and equipment issuance; maintain inventory and update officer records.

In 2008-2010 I accepted a position as a District Government Police  officer 0083 for the District of Columbia library Police. Perform initial investigations of all criminal activity to include, but not limited to, thefts, assaults and disorderly conduct. Respond to emergency and routine calls which may involve dangerous personnel or personnel who have committed felonies. Provide crowd control for various events. Perform a broad range of law enforcement, investigation, crime prevention, force protection, access control, traffic control, and community policing. Handle volatile situations such as terrorist attacks, hostage situations, and armed robbery. Plan and carry out appropriate steps according to specific case conditions, and use personal judgment in interpreting, adapting, applying and deviating from guidelines based on unusual or emergency situations. Plan and conduct investigations of accidents, suspicious activities, security breaches, and crimes.

2010-2012 I continued with Professional 50 State Protection as compliance officer.

Perform a range of protection services involving complex situations that require the application of an extensive body of standardized, optional, or innovative procedures of operating activities. Participate in evaluating and reviewing organizations, programs, activities, and functions to assess compliance with laws, regulations and contract provisions; effectiveness of internal controls; and the efficiency, and effectiveness of operating programs. Apply knowledge of the latest rules, procedures and methods of safeguarding information and controlling access to unauthorized areas. Conduct extensive investigations; determine whether standard or special procedures are needed, and whether the situation is a real or potential threat. Guidelines are available, but judgment is applied in determining if there are gaps, evaluating emergency situations, assessing the variable involved, and making rapid decisions on an appropriate course of action to resolve the immediate problem. Prepare incident reports.

2011-2019 I started my law enforcement career a Maryland Special Police officer for Medstar Montgomery Medical Center. In 2012 I was promoted to Sergeant for the overnight shift.

Served as a  Sergeant duties: are to supervise two other Special Police officers on the shift provide guidance, and administrative duties assigning work assignments reviewing incident reports rotating patrols and posts at a Medical installation enforcing security measures required to protect personnel, materials, or property on the installation.  Primary responsibility of the position is to ensure compliance with and enforce a full range of Federal, State, local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations as they pertain to law enforcement work.

Patrol assigned areas on foot and by motor vehicle. Prevent, detect, and investigate violations of laws, rules and regulations. Serve as initial investigating officer in responding to accidents. Respond to various calls for law enforcement services at all levels, to include crimes in progress, citizen complaints, and emergency situations to include natural and man made disasters. Prepare detailed investigative reports, resulting in criminal prosecution and conviction.  Provide information and customer service to personnel entering and exiting

 

2013-2017 Centerra Group served as an Protective Service officer/ 2012 I was promoted to Lieutenant  Part time  for DHS contracts to Provide physical security to a federal facility by ensuring the protection of high security areas, property, entryways, and personnel Monitor, investigate and react to emergencies by responding to security violations, alarms, and other emergency situations. Verification systems-VARS system Visitor access Prevent unauthorized access to the facilities by verifying employee and visitor credentials and Utilizing for and PSATS

Quickly and calmly Carry out surveillance and performed building indoor and perimeter inspections. Collect, investigate, and analyze data to assist with the development of informative reports, daily occurrence logs. Ensure compliance with contract requirements by establishing and maintaining working relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel, Property Managers, Building Managers, Agency Technical Representatives, Security Officers, Designated Officials, and Project Managers.

Meet Our Chief

In 1995, Chief Davis relocated to Atlanta, GA to work for a security company known as Interstate Protection Services (IPS) providing armed security for Atlanta Housing Authority. He learned different techniques on how to deal with and respond to calls for services related to domestic violence, assaults, and drug activity. He ascended through the ranks to Lieutenant, in addition to working alongside the police department. From 1996-2001 Chief Davis became a certified Fugitive Recovery Investigator (Bail Agent) in Fulton County, GA. Between 2001-2005,Chief Davis also opened his own security company known D.P.S. Enforcement, providing services ranging from personnel working on site to random vehicle patrol.

In 2005, Chief Davis moved to Maryland to start a new career with a local security company as a Roving Supervisor. In 2006, he was promoted to Zone Lieutenant where his duties were to work on contracts that dealt with providing security for multiple sites. He also made routine post inspections and met with clients weekly. In 2007, he was promoted to Captain/Special Police Officer where his duties were to conduct employee interviews and to meet with the owner to brief him on the day-to-day activities. In 2008, Chief Davis was hired to assume the role of Special Police Officer for the District of Columbia Library, working in a branch enforcing the law and protecting staff/visitors.

In 2011, Chief Davis assumed the role as a Maryland Special Police Officer for MedStar Health System. In 2012 he was promoted to a Shift Sergeant. His duties involved enforcing the Maryland state laws and supervising two other special police officers. All these experiences have given Chief Davis insight on how other organizations and law enforcement agencies operate and conduct business.
